We need to talk about slime

Posted by Danny Nutt on April 26, 2018 at 11:15 AM

It's been around two months since our last blog. And although we love talking about news and stories regarding Nutty's, we also like to talk about other things to do with kids. Like slime.

Last year's big kids fad was the fidget spinner. Available in every newsagent and pound shop, kids went mad for these palm sized mini gadgets. Their purpose was pretty simple: to spin around. Quite what the kids actually got out of it still baffles me, although it's better than staring at ...

Another great holiday camp

Posted by Danny Nutt on February 21, 2018 at 11:10 AM

Last week we had the pleasure again of running a three day Half Term Sports and Drama Camp with Moving Matters at Julian's Primary School in Streatham.

It went very well. And it was so lovely to see some of the regular kids back for more. Moreover, seeing them improve their sports and drama skills.

Sport and drama both require one very important human ingredient: confidance. And sometimes all we have to do as teachers and facilitators is to encourage them, make the activitie...

Time flies

Posted by Danny Nutt on January 25, 2018 at 12:00 AM

It's been a while since our last blog. Apologies. I guess we've been busy... Christmas came and went, then New Year and before we know it, it's nearly February!

Time really does fly by, doesn't it? Yes that's right. After spending the year entertaining hundreds (or maybe even thousands?) of kids, it's time for a little party for us. For a change.

It's been 11 years since the birth of Nutty's and I always like to throw an annual soiree for my team to thank them for their hard work, laugh about the times certain kids said hilarious things, share stories, eat, drink and be merry.

It's also a time to pause and reflect upon the past year. I honestly feel extremely proud at what w...

Posted by Danny Nutt on October 18, 2017 at 10:45 AM

Can you actually believe it? It's nearly half term!?!

It felt only like yesterday that I spent most of the time in my shorts, enjoying the long days of sunlight and noticing how much happier people in general were.

Now the evenings are drawing in, the heating is coming back on at home and, oh, no, I hear you asking: what am I going to do for half term?

Well, help is at hand with our top 5 ideas for all the family for the autumnal break...

No two parties are the same

Posted by Danny Nutt on September 22, 2017 at 6:40 AM

Nutty's has been up and running for nearly 11 years now, and depsite some of our oldest themes, like Pirate Dan's Treasure Hunt, for example, still being performed regularly, we never get bored. Why? Becuase no two parties are the same.

Obvously a Fairy party in Kensington is going to be differnet from an Explorer Party in Chiswick. A Disco party in Clapham different from Wizard Dee (Harry Potter friendly) in Hammersmith. But all of our parties can be so diffrent- becuase kids are so di...
