Can you actually believe it? It's nearly half term!?!
It felt only like yesterday that I spent most of the time in my shorts, enjoying the long days of sunlight and noticing how much happier people in general were.
Now the evenings are drawing in, the heating is coming back on at home and, oh, no, I hear you asking: what am I going to do for half term?
Well, help is at hand with our top 5 ideas for all the family for the autumnal break...
1- Get ready for halloween. Buy a pumpkin, or one each for all the family, and carve like crazy to create a spooky jack o' lantern. You can also have fun decorating the house with fake cobwebs, pictures of witches on broomsticks and paper cut out scary ghouls.
2- Burn off some energy at Flip Out. This great venue is packed full of trampolines so you can bounce to your hearts content AND keep fit all at the same time. Result. See here for more info- https://www.flipout.co.uk
3- Appreciate some art. Every major city in the UK has at least one art gallery that's free to visit. A particularly good one in London is Tate Modern. It's huge, has a big variety of various types of art from all over the world and the views from the top of London are spectacular- http://www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-modern
4- Take the kids to the theatre. There are so many fantastic shows for all the family available at the moment, especially in the West End. Tickets aren't always cheap but it's worth shopping around as there are often deals on to help you save a few pounds.
5- Go for a walk in the park, play and be free. This is one of the most basic and effective activities for kids. They love being outside, in all weathers. Plus it's free, so it won't break the bank.
I hope this guide has been handy? Whatever you end up doing, all of us at Nutty's wish you a lovely half term break.
