Nutty Magic Andy - party description
Magic Andy begins by meeting & greeting the children for the first 5 minutes, getting their names wrong, which amuses the kids as they argue their name is not Chicken Nugget! Bubbles are also blown and a magical atmosphere is set with Balkan Gypsy music playing in the background. Then he explains if they wish to come on a Magical adventure then he needs to make sure they are magic themselves and pass 3 quick tests: they need to be speedy, clever and sneaky. Once the kids are bursting with excitement and all warmed up, then he asks the children what the most important thing for a magic show is…? A magic wand! Only ... he pulls out other items which are black and white, one of which is a toilet brush which he presides to chase them with! After much laughter, he brings out the real magic wand, which, when passed to the child, falls apart! Once they have found the real magic wand, Magic Andy takes them through a series of magic tricks involving disappearing hankies, the disappearing magic bag, ball and cups (which will have the children asking 'where did that chicken come from'?), a magic colouring book which Andy forgot to put the pictures in & interactively gets children to paint them back in (magically!), then as we get ready for birthday dinner Magic Andy starts eating the napkins as he gets confused, only for something miraculous to happen when he pulls them out of his mouth, wowing the crowd in disbelief! He then creates a giant balloon octopus, again in a hilarious scene of not knowing how to tie up a balloon, pings his fingers and to the amusement of the audience sends the balloons firing in all directions! A quick dance off deciding who will win the Octopus, usually has the kids (and adults!) skanking out to Baggy Trousers by Madness or showing their best air guitar to Motörhead! For the one hour show this is the finale.
For the two hour show, children will then eat their lunch for 20-25 minutes usually whilst Andy will walk around interacting with the children making sure everything is under control and everyone is happy and giggling. This is followed by singing Happy Birthday and the cake moment. For the remainder of the party, Andy also believes in the magic of comedy! He turns the venue into a New York Comedy show, transforming into a New York MC, he gets children and adults walking and talking like they are from down town New York - 'Hey! I'm walking here!' He then invites kids up to have a go on the microphone, dressed up to look the park and tell their best jokes.. a hilarious section of the party, which is not to be missed! This section of the party will be flexible depending on the ages, space and ages of children. Games of Sharky Sharky, monster (Stuck In The Mud), limbo, musical statues with a twist and a parachute may be played instead of or alongside or the comedy show! Then with a big bang ending which will have everyone dancing once more, Magic Andy bids farewell until next time!
Magic Andy is like Jim Carey mixed with Basil Fawlty: slapstick, with fast paced slightly chaotic whit. Children will be laughing non stop for the duration of the party as they are under Magic Andy's spell, the real trick!! Adults are surprised as they end up laughing just as much as the children with constant patter, half aimed at the grown ups, as he makes light of the chaos that ensues!
