Dan The Fireman!

The first 5-10 minutes are spent with Dan The Fireman (DTF) meeting and greeting the kids, writing names on stickers etc. He then settles them down and explains why- apart from it being the birthday child’s special day- they’re there: to find the Special Sweets that were stolen from the sweet factory by Nasty Nathanial! DTF then explains that the factory went up in flames and holds the secret ingredients to make more sweets… So he asks them to help him find these sweets. But before they do, they do some warm up games. DFT gets them in a circle and they do some stretching, running on the spot, star jumps etc. followed by some original Nutty’s style drama inspired games and some singing. Then DFT tells the kids the story of how the factory went up in flames and how the Special Sweets were stolen… The story is very interactive and educational and DTF gets them to act bits out. Then a map is discovered at the end of the story and the adventure begins… They then use their imaginations and bodies to follow the map and find the sweets. For example, they slide down the fire station fire pole, drive the fire engine, put out a car that’s on fire, climb a ladder, follow the clues etc. (this is all imagined) and eventually find the sweets! They then all get one each. That ends the one hour option. For the two hour option, there is then a break for 25-30 minutes for food, followed by classic party games, including: Fireman’s Coming (like Captain’s Coming), Grandma’s Footsteps and always ending with Musical Statues and some sweet and sticker prizes and a small prize for the birthday child (usually a gold medal).
