Submarine Dan!

Submarine Dan meets and greets the kids for the first 5-10 minutes, writing names on stickers etc. He then gathers them round and explains why, apart from celebrating the birthday child's special day, they're all there today: to rescue his friend and protector of his submarine, Oliver Octopus from the nasty Stefan The Shark. He then asks them if they'll all help rescue him by searching for the Magical Underwater Sweets. But before he tells them the story of how Oliver Octopus was captured and before they go on their nautical adventure, Submarine Dan runs some warm up games including: running on the spot, star fish jumps and press ups! They then do some singing (Row Row the boat, etc) followed by the story which is very interactive. They then act out retrieving a map from Stefan The Sharks baby sharks and then they go on the adventure imagining driving the submarine underwater, going through the seaweed, reading an Octonauts-friendly ‘Creature Report’, rescuing the ‘underwater creepy crawlies’ from a jelly/gunk box (lots of fun there!) and following the clues that come there way until they eventually find the sweets! They then all get one each and are encouraged to save it until after tea. The one hour option ends there and then for the 2 hours, there is a break for 25-30 minutes for party tea, followed by 30 minutes or so of classic party games: Captain’s Coming, Grandma’s Footsteps etc. and always ending with Musical Statues with some extra sweet and sticker prizes and a prize for the birthday child, which is normally a gold medal.
