ADVENTURE PARTY THEMES
The Witch Challenge!
About the theme…
Poor Witch. Despite winning the 'Most Whackiest Witch Award', her witch powers have been going terribly wrong. This is ever since the rather jealous and nasty Wicked Witch Of The North put a spell on her and now she can't fly her broomstick properly, or make potions effectively!
So, she has gone back to The High School of Witchery to try and get her skills back on track. The training has been going well, but the headmistress of the school, Ms Wendy Witch III, has given the Witch one last, big challenge: to find the Wonderful Witch Sweets, that once found and eaten will help all good witches to be wonderful witches!
-
The Witch meets and greets the kids for the first 5-10 minutes, writing names on stickers etc. and then gathers them round. She explains to them that her witch powers are not upto scratch and she has had to return to the High School of Witchery, where the headmistress, Mrs Wendy Witch, has been giving her challenges. She then says that she needs help to complete the challenge to find the Wonderful Witch Sweets, which have been stolen by the Wicked Witch of the North, to help all witches be wonderful! A warm up sequence ensues: running on the spot, start jumps etc. and some typical Nutty’s drama inspired games followed by some singing and then the story… She explains to the kids how she lost her powers after the Wicked Witch of the North cast an evil spell on her. The kids act little bits out and then a map is revealed from the Witch and a sort of treasure hunt ensues.. They play stuck in the mud to get through the muddy path, they rescue some Creepy Crawlies via a jelly pot, crawl through the tunnel, follow the clues and all the while use their imaginations to find the sweets which they do at the end of the first hour! Then there is a break for 25-30 minutes for tea (or it ends here for the one hour option), followed by classic party games including: Witch Says (like Simon Says), grandma’s footsteps and always ending with musical statues with sweet, sticker prizes and a gold medal for the birthday child.
